TITLE: Exceptional WW1 ~ Fighting 69th N.Y. 42nd Rainbow Division Purple Heart Medal Grouping

DESCRIPTION:
An exceptional WW1 Fighting 69th New York - 165th US Infantry Purple Heart medal grouping. The grouping consists of a engraved purple heart with large size thumbnail cluster (wounded twice). The purple heart is engraved "John P. Christy" and comes with the correct ribbon bar with thumbnail cluster. The correct Victory medal with battle bars for the 42nd Division. The Pershing Occupation medal, New York STate medal and 2 different dog tags. The unit information has been X'ed out on the two dog tags which is typical of front line combat units. There is also a large size pocket watch which is missing the crystal and hands. There are a few 42nd Rainbow Division Veterans pieces with the group. A very nice enameled small size pin with "AEF - 69th Reg", 52nd Annual Reuion card for the Father Duffy Chapter Rainbow Division Veterans and a 1926 Rainbow reunion ribbon. There is also a VFW medal and lapel stud. There are also two Knights of Columbus ribbon medals. The purple heart medal rim number is 34889. The group will be shipped in a priority box. TITLE: Great WW1 ~ 168th US Infantry 42nd Rainbow Division Purple Heart Medal with History

DESCRIPTION:
A nice WW1 168th US Infantry 42nd Rainbow Division Purple Heart medal with history. The purple heart is a metal art issued in 1940. The purple heart is engraved "Jerry Shultz" and is enamaled and rim numbered 69992. The index card states Jerry received his medal on 9-25-40. The medal comes with half of the original Metal Arts box with the label. The copy history that comes with the purple heart is the state index card, state soldier discharge record and a copy photo of Jerry. The information states Jerry was wounded by shell fire on March 5th, 1918 (a very early date) and was from the state of Iowa. The medal will be shipped in a priority box. TITLE: Fantastic WW1 ~ 167th US Infantry 42nd Rainbow Division Purple Heart Medal Grouping

DESCRIPTION:
An exceptional WW1 167th US Infantry 42nd Rainbow Division Purple Heart medal grouping. The grouping consists of a engraved purple heart, ribbon bar with original purple heart box. The purple heart is engraved Arnold Stryffeler. Original dog tag stamped "Pvt. Arnold Stryffeler 162nd Inf USNG. There is also a stamped identification bracelet which reads "Arnold Stryfeller 2nd Battalion 167th Infantry". The purple heart looks like a BB & B and is rim numbered 33223. There is a copy of an index card which states that Arnold was wounded on July 15th, 1918. The purple heart was awarded on 3-29-33. A New Testament dated 1917 which is ink identified inside each the front and back covers with Arnold's name and unit. The group will be shipped in a priority box. TITLE: Fantastic Identified 30th Division Chaplain Uniform and Overseas Hat

DESCRIPTION:
Exceptional grouping from a Chaplain who served in the 30th Division. The group consists of a tunic decorated with a nice 30th Division shoulder patch, crosses pined on the tops of each shoulder tabs,US collar insignia and one overseas stripe.. The tunic came with a 30th Division reunion medal which is nicely enameled. The top bar of the medal has the name "E.L. Averitt" and the back of the medal reads "Annual Reunion 30th Division Nashville, Tenn. November 4th 1921". There was also a small ticket in the pocket of the tunic which has a GAR membership medal printed on it along with "Decoration Day, May 30, 1930 - Admit ________ To a seat on the Rostrum During the Excercises - Not Transferable". The card measures 2 1/4" x 4" and is torn and creased. The tunic is in good condition with worn spots on the collar and above and below the left chest pocket, there are a couple of very small holes also. The worn spots have been repaired or covered with matching green thread. The inside liner is worn around the arm holes and the neck area. The pants are in good condition with a number of holes repaired with the same green thread. The overseas cap is in very good condition with the correct black piping and a large pin back cross. The inside of the hat is stamped with the British arrow and a large 7. This group is unresearched. The group will be shipped in a priority box. Shipping cost will be calculated at time of purchase.

TITLE: Painted Gas Mask Bag - 111th Machine Gun Battalion, 29th Blue and Gray Division

DESCRIPTION:
A very well done hand painted gas mask bag from a soldier named "W.G. Yothers" who fought with the 111th Machine Gun Battalion of the 29th Division. The bag is painted with the following "I Need The Every Hour, 29th Division 111th Mac. Gun Bn. AEF - WG Yothers". The gas mask is in the bag, the hose is hard as usually found. TITLE: Rare Identified North Russia Tunic and Overcoat

DESCRIPTION:
A very rare and hard to find identified tunic and overcoat from an American Soldier who fought in North Russia during WW1. There were only around 5500 American soldiers sent to Russia. The tunic is in good condition with no issues. The tunic has US and Infantry disks on the collar a felt on wool "NR" North Russia shoulder patch and 2 overseas stripes and a red discharge stripe. The coat does have a label on the inside that reads "USA Olive Drab Coat - Hope Manufacturing co. Ltd 1918" the coat is also stamped with the British arrow on the inside. The overcoat has the same shoulder patch and two overseas stipes and has the soldiers name written in ink on the inside of the coat and on the back strap "P. Hauerwas". There are several moth nips on the overcoat. The inside liner is in good condition. This group is unresearched. The group will be shipped in two priority boxes. TITLE: WW2 US Army "Official US Army Photographer" Identified Jacket

DESCRIPTION:
A very unusual WW2 jacket with a very rare patch "Official US Army Photographer" on the right sleeve and European (Advanced Base) patch on the left sleeve. There are two ribbon bars on the jacket one a good conduct and the other European Theathre with one battle star. The jacket looks like it might be a British style, there is an arrow stamped on the inside. The name Kluger #32964646 is inked on the underside of one of the inside pockets. This soldier is unresearched. The jacket will be shipped in a priority box. Shipping cost will be calculated at time of purchase.

CONDITION: The jacket is in good condition with a couple small moth holes at the base of the right breast pocket and one small hole in the back.

TITLE: WW1 Anti-Aircraft Tunic and Pants - Rare Patch and Disk

DESCRIPTION:
A very nice WW1 Anti-Aircraft tunic and pants set with a beautiful Anti-Aircraft patch and rare AA Collar disk. The patch is good size and shows two cannon barrels and a white winged artillery shell. The collar disks are US and AA over Coast Artillery and B (Battery B). There is one overseas stripe and one discharge stripe. The other sleeve has a sgt chevon with an ordnance bomb below. There are initials and a serial number written on the liner of the coat near the collar. The pants are in good condition with a couple of old repairs to holes. The repairs are pieces of the same colored wool were sewn under the holes - really a nice job, still display well. The jacket will be shipped in a priority box. CONDITION: The tunic is in good condition with a holes on the back below the collar (1/2") there are a couple of other small wear spots. The pants have 3 repairs to holes - wool being place under the holes and then sewn.

TITLE: WW1 Battlefield Relic Springfield Bayonet - Recoverd in France

DESCRIPTION:
This battlefield relic Springfield bayonet was recovered from a WW1 battlefield in France. The bayonet has been in the ground for close to 100 years and is completely rusted but still solid. The exact location where the bayonet was recovered was not obtained. It would make a great addition to any WW1 collection. Springfield bayonets are quite rare and not recovered as often as you would think.

CONDITION: Dug condition - but still solid.

The bayonet measures close to 20" in length.

TITLE: Pearl Harbor Relic - Recovered Bullet.

DESCRIPTION:
An extremely unique Historical item - a bullet recovered by a diver in the waters around Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. I personally know the diver and he signed a document stating he recovered the bullet at Pearl Harbor. A copy of the signed document comes with the bullet. The bullet is mounted in a black riker mount display case with great descriptive label and color image of Japanese planes bombing the harbor. This is a once in a life time opportunity to own a piece of American History. I purchased a less than 10 of these bullets from my friend so I do have more but don't expect them to last to long!

CONDITION: Bullet was in the water for over 50 years - solid with a great age patina.

TITLE: Exceptional Wounded American Officer Real Photo Postcard - 30th & 29th Division.

DESCRIPTION:
A very interesting real photo postcard showing a group of American Doughboys. The officers are seated in the front row with the enlisted men standing at the rear. One of the officers was wounded and is wearing a bandage on his cheek and looks to be wearing a 30th Division patch. The captain next to him is clearly wearing a 29th Division patch and has a large silver star on his ribbon bar (Silver Star Citation) . The image is extremely clear exposing many details. There is no identification on the back of the image.

CONDITION: Very Good condition.

This great large size photograph of an officer in the 17th Artillery measures 8" x 10". This good looking officers photo has numbered collar brass, a great ribbon bar with battle stars and an excellent 17th Artillery, 2nd Division shoulder patch. There is no identification to this officer. The bottom of the image is signed "Miss White".

CONDITION: The photo is in good condition with one area of issue, a 3" crease just above the 2nd Division patch. It is not all the way through the image.

TITLE: Great Civil War bullseye canteen recovered for use during the 1880's - Spanish American War!

DESCRIPTION:
This canteen is quite unique. This is a perfect example of what happened to Civil War surplus canteens. The material covering the canteen is SAW ear canvas type material. You can feel and see the bullseye design under the cover. If you collect unique pieces of equipment don't miss this one. I've never seen another like it. The canteen can be found in Mike O'Donnell's new book entitled "US Army & Militia Canteens 1775-1910". The canteen can be found on page 256, canteen #303.

CONDITION: Condition of canteen and cover is good, minor age staining to the cover and the cork stopper is cracked. The strap is solid and strong.

TITLE: Indian Wars Button Display Case from "Ft. Grant" Arizona Territory

DESCRIPTION:
Great Button display case with 2 original buttons recovered from Fort Grant, Arizona Territory. I picked these buttons up when I was in Tucson in the 1970's from a gentleman who metal detected the Fort. Fort Grant was in existence from 1860-1905 and played a prominent role in the Apache Wars of the 1880's. The coat button is a general service button with a Horstmann b/m with no shank. The cuff is an eagle with a D in the shield for Dragoon. The cuff is a scoville b/m with no shank. Comes in a black riker case ready for display. A great gift for any History Lover.

CONDITION: Dug condition, nice age patina.

TITLE: Indian Wars Button Display Case from "Ft. Crittenden" Arizona Territory

DESCRIPTION:
Great Button display case with 2 original buttons recovered from Fort Crittenden, Arizona Territory. I picked these buttons up when I was in Tucson in the 1970's from a gentleman who metal detected the Fort. Fort Crittenden was in existence from 1867-1973 and played a prominent role in the Apache Wars of the 1870's. The coat button is an Infantry button with and I in the shield with a Waterbury & Scoville b/m with shank. The other button is a pants or suspender button and is marked "US ARMY" on the face. Comes in a black riker case ready for display. A great gift for any History Lover.

CONDITION: Dug condition, nice age patina.

TITLE: USAAC - United States Army Ambulance Corps Veterans Reunion Medal

DESCRIPTION:
Great Ambulance medal which reads "14th Annual Convention June 15, 16 & 17 1933 Boston" and printed in ink on the top bar is "Peterson 527, Regional Commander". This badge belonged to Authur A. Peterson who served with Ambulance section #527. The French and Italian Ambulance insignia are present on the bottom portion of the medal.

CONDITION: Great Ambulance medal in Very Good condition.
